On the Cervia air force base was held a Squadron Exchange between the 23rd Squadron 'Veltri'/5th Wing

and the 2nd Squadron 'Dongò'/59th Wing of Kecskemèt.

For starting I've prepared a flash file with a presentation of the photo to avoid almost 120 click-link , But also if I've divided it in two fle (morning and afternoon) they are huge file , about 40MB each-one, so only the fast connection can afford it.

We arrived around 10.30am, and we entered in the base and we gone to the flight line of 23rd Squadron where there are 4 F-16[1 2] and three Mig [ 1 2 ]. The sound of 2 F-16 and 2 Mig-29A was already present and a little bit later, around the 10.45am, we saw them moving to the runway [F-16ADF mm7238 1 2 3 4 5 6 7][F-16ADF mm7251][Mig-29A 18 1 2][Mig-29A 21][Mig-29A 18/21 moving toghether 1 2]. A little bit later we saw them taking-off from runway "12" [F-16ADF mm7251 1 2], the Mig take-off toghether without after-burner[1 2 3 4]. On the ground a lonely Mig-29UB n° 26.

While the aircraft flying we gone to the GEA hangar (gruppo efficenza aeromobili) where we could see two F-16 open, one with the open nose [1] and the other without engine [1] and others parts [1 2]. While we was in the hangar we eard two more take-off, to be clesr, two F-16ADF [mm7244].

Some time later for runway "12" 2 F-16 e 2 Mig flying a fly-past togheter with an aermacchi of "frecce tricolori", the n°8.[1 2 3 4] Immediatly after we saw 4 AMX that after a right turn they prepared to land.

Firstable the AMX land and we discoverd 3 AMX-T del 32nd Wing 101st Squadron of Amendola [mm55036 32-51 1 2 3][mm55030 32-41 1 2][mm55029 32-50] and an AMX of 32nd Wing 13rd Squadron, also from Amendola [mm7157 32-06 1 2 3]. Then the Mig-29A from 2nd Squadron 59th Wing of Kecskemèt [Mig-29A 21 1 2 3 4 5 6 7 8 ][Mig-29A 18 1 2 3 4 5] and the MB-339PAN [1 2 3], surprising a Siai S208M used as turistic flight, infact he transport some ungherian tecnicist. Indeed land the two F-16 ADF of 23rd Squadron of 5th Wing of Cervia[mm7251 1 2 3 4 5 6][mm7238 1 2 3 4 5 6]. Sadly no sign of EFA also if they was scheduled, we discovered infact that for low affidability of the APU they not trusted to land in an airport without tecnical support. But the flying line was also very interesting.

For the morning the flying activities was stopped so we take some pictures the Gate Guardian presents in the base [F-86K 5-52 1 2][F-104ASA-M of 23rd Squadron][F-104ASA-M of 102nd Squadron , a faked , infact the 102nd never used that version].

Around the 02.30pm the flying activity restart with a crazy take-off of the aermacchi from frecce that just after retied the gear overfly the flight line at just few meters, followed by an fly-by of two tornado from6th Wing, then 3 F-16 moving [F-16ADF mm7238][F-16ADF mm7239][F-16ADF mm7252 1 2 3 ] to the runway "12" and a little bit later take-off[F-16ADF mm7238 1 2][F-16ADF mm7239 1 2 ][F-16ADF mm7252 1 2]. When the sound of the take-off disappear the 4 APU of AMX starting [mm55036 32-51 1 2 3 4][mm55030 32-41 1 2][mm55029 32-50][mm7157 32-06 1 2 3 4 5], followed by those of the two Mig [Mig-29A 21 1 2 3 4 5 6 7 8 9][Mig-29A 18 1 2 3 4 5 6 7 8] and one of the F-16[mm7244 1 2]. In few times all the aircraft take-off [Mig-29A 18 1 2 3 4 5][Mig-29A 21][mm55036 32-51][mm55030 32-41 1 2 3][mm55029 32-50 1 2][mm7157 32-06 1 2], again the mig's take-off without after-burner and togheter and leaved at hearth the twoseater. Sadly the day inside the base is finishing so we had to go aut, along the landingpath of the runway "12", and for our bad lucky the two Mig land for runway "30", followed by three F-16 that at least land for runway "12" [mm7252][mm7238 1 2 3][mm7239].
